Glass

Agat+ window and door factory

We use high-quality glass from the renowned manufacturer Saint-Gobain for the production of our windows.

Properly selected glass units can fulfill various functions. To adapt them to your needs, it is worth considering which parameters are the most important.

ENERGY EFFICIENCY

Achieving the best possible thermal transmittance coefficient is one of the priorities for every window manufacturer. Products that directly contribute to lowering this value are insulating glass units made of low-emissivity glass.

An insulating glass unit with enhanced thermal insulation consists of two glass panes, one of which is coated with a thin, transparent layer of silver compounds.

This low-emissivity coating is placed on the inside of the insulating glass unit. The space between the panes is filled with argon, a gas with superior insulating properties.

The coating applied to one of the panes acts like an invisible thermal shield that keeps heat inside the room while still allowing solar radiation to pass through.

SUN PROTECTION

The primary function of solar control glass is protection against solar radiation, and more.

Solar control glass combined with glass offering enhanced thermal insulation makes it possible to retain heat indoors during winter while protecting against solar radiation and overheating in summer.

This solution allows for a simultaneous reduction of air conditioning costs in summer and heating expenses in winter. The most important parameters in this case are light transmittance (Tl), the g-value, and the U-value.

SAFETY

Safety glass can be tempered or laminated, depending on its application.

Tempered safety glass ESG

It undergoes thermal treatment, which increases its mechanical strength. This type of glass is five times stronger than ordinary non-tempered glass. Additionally, it features a specific breakage pattern. When broken, the pane shatters into small fragments with blunt edges.

ACOUSTIC COMFORT

The high level of acoustic insulation of our windows is largely influenced by the type of glass used.

If you live in an area exposed to external noise, it is advisable to use glass that effectively absorbs sound.

Good acoustic insulation can be achieved by using an insulating glass unit composed of two panes of different thicknesses.

It is available in the following combinations:

1) two single glass panes of different thicknesses, e.g. 8/16/4, 8/12/4, etc.

2) one single glass pane and one laminated glass pane consisting of two glass panes bonded with PVB foil layers providing acoustic insulation. This type of insulating glass unit also ensures a high level of safety.

DECORATION

The wide range of decorative glass we offer will help you find the perfect solution for interior design.

Although they primarily serve aesthetic purposes, there are no obstacles to also providing them with thermal insulation, solar control, acoustic insulation, or enhanced safety properties.
