Outward-opening windows may seem unusual to many European users, but in many respects they represent a very interesting and convenient solution. For this reason, we have included scissor hinges from the company Securistyle in our offer: Defender Restricted, Defender Standard – designed for outward-opening windows. Most European manufacturers of scissor hinges focus on providing solutions for the British and American markets. In these markets, two types of window opening are most commonly found: Side Hung (outward-opening casement windows) and Top Hung (top-hung windows). A typical feature of outward-opening windows is their relatively small dimensions and low sash weight. This is particularly noticeable in the British Isles and is the result of long-standing traditions. Balcony doors, on the other hand, are very often manufactured with a concealed hinge side.

The most important component of an English window is the scissor hinge, which determines the maximum permissible sash weight. For Side Hung windows, we offer solutions that provide increased security and ease of use, including the Easy Clean function (cleaning position) and a Restrictor (opening limiter). When it comes to Top Hung windows, the scissor hinges offered by SECURITYSTYLE stand out in particular, as they allow the construction of sashes weighing up to 50 kg.

Another essential element of outward-opening windows is the locking system and strike plates. The company SECURITYSTYLE has opted for an innovative solution and offers locking systems with opposing hook locking, which increases the level of security. In addition, the locking system, when used with comb-type strike plates, also enables the Night Wind (micro-ventilation) function.

Thanks to the sash lifter, which lifts the sash into the correct position without the use of force, even heavy sashes close smoothly. This reduces the need for post-installation adjustments and ensures reliable operation for many years.

Energy efficiency and tightness.

Window tightness is a prerequisite for energy efficiency. The anti-burglary locking pins feature adjustable pressure, ensuring tight sealing of the window. The internal central pressure point automatically adapts to the rebate clearance.

Protection against unwanted guests.

Anti-burglary hardware is still insufficiently known among consumers. MACO MULTI-MATIC offers your customers security in various configurations. The i.S. locking pins used in Maco hardware are the best way to create secure windows. i.S. pins cooperate both with anti-burglary strike plates and standard strike plates.

IPA hardware for the Rehau Nordic Plus PVC profile has been designed to ensure smooth and flexible production of Scandinavian-type windows.

A Scandinavian window is characterized by the following features:
•    outward opening
•    from the outside, the frame and sash are flush with each other

The advantage of Scandinavian windows is that they do not take up space inside the room when opened.
As Scandinavian windows are usually positioned at the front of the wall opening, there is plenty of space for curtains, drapes, flowers and other decorations. Pivot windows allow easy cleaning from the inside. These windows open outward, so wind pressure improves their tightness.

All types presented above can be manufactured in the Rehau Nordic Plus system and fitted with IPA hardware.

In the case of KFV key-operated multipoint locks, locking and unlocking takes place after turning the key twice.
